Family Engagement
Hello! My name is Beverly Dosono, and I am Frost Elementary’s Family and Community Engagement Liaison! With back-to-school season underway, I wanted to briefly introduce myself to you, and share some goals I have to support you, your child, and family this school year.
What is a Family and Community Engagement Liaison?
My job is to bridge the communication between school and home. I help parents get the information, help, and support they need to ensure their children is achieving success in school.
How can a Family and Community Engagement Liaison help me?
It’s common for families to feel nervous about sharing their questions/concerns with the teachers or principals. I will listen to your concerns, and work with you closely to make sure your voice is being heard. I will help support you in resolving any issues that can be hindering your child’s success in school.
What kind of assistance can the Family and Community Engagement Liaison provide?
I can help connect you with any resources that provides support for your children and families. These resources include: technology access, nutrition services, housing assistance, clothing, and much more.
